Our StoryChabad of Hewlett Neck & Old Woodmere, led by Rabbi Mendel and Goldie Gordon, is a warm Jewish home for everyone. Inspired by the Lubavitcher Rebbe, we welcome every Jew, with no judgement and no one turned away.
We started in a 500 sq ft basement and have grown fast: to a 1,400 sq ft rental in 2022, which further expanded to 2,500 sq ft in 2023. We serve young families, kids, teens, adults and seniors, whatever their background or religious level. Reaching thousands, and knowing there is still more to achieve.We now have an opportunity to purchase a permanent home for Chabad, in an ideal location. With over 8,000 SF of usable space, this will serve as a hub for all the activity needed to realize our potential. We are raising $6,000,000 to make this a reality.
